Located at the Pilot Training Facility at Base Ohakea, the new Simulated Training Centre provides a vital training environment for pilots.

Our teams designed the new facility and carried out the refurbishment and fitting out of three other buildings - the No.1 Hanger, Flightline Aircraft Shelter with associated hardstanding as well as refurbishing the Flight Operations Building.

The new facility accommodates two simulator rooms, offices, workshops, and training classrooms. These simulator rooms have been designed to precise loading requirements and feature in the exterior form of the building as towers.

The eye-catching building stands out on the base. A centrally located spine connecting the building's functions is intersected by an entry corridor, leading to the No.1 hangar through an internal linkway. Western red cedar and zinc cladding adds further distinction to the new training facility.
