The new AUD20 million automotive manufacturing plant, developed by Japanese automotive company, Hirotec Corporation, is located in the heart of Adelaide’s northern suburbs at Elizabeth West.
GHD Woodhead was engaged to deliver design, documentation and contract administration services whilst working with a range of specialist consultants and project managers to deliver valuable outcomes for the client.
The state-of-the-art stamping and assembly plant produces vehicle closure components, such as bonnets, boot lids and doors, which are supplied to nearby General Motors Holden manufacturing plant. The new facility allows Hirotec Corporation to efficiently deliver outputs in line with the fast-paced manufacturing industry.
The facility is more than 15,000 sqm, comprising: four stage press lines, assembly area, despatch areas and a two storey office building with reception and amenities on the ground floor, and offices and meeting rooms on the first floor.
