Our integrated practice, GHD Woodhead, is fostering excellence in landscape architecture through its sponsorship of Deakin University’s Landscape Architecture Award.
Mark van den Enden, Managing Principal in Melbourne and Greg Cater, Principal Landscape Architect, presented the award to Jen Dearnaley for her project on the ethnobotany of the Woiwurrung Tribe in Victoria. The project examined traditional Indigenous knowledge and cultural use of plants.
The GHD Woodhead Landscape Architecture Award is presented annually to a Master of Landscape Architecture student for excellence in research of practice.
Mark says, “We are proud to partner with universities to encourage talented design professionals of the future. The passion and imagination on display in student projects tie in perfectly with our vision of creating inspirational places through intelligent and thoughtful design.”
