GHD Woodhead welcomes Mark Popplewell as Design Director, based in Perth.
Mark has almost 30 years’ experience in architecture. Based in Perth since 1997, Mark has designed and led a variety of projects across Western Australia for private and public sector clients.
His recently completed projects include North One in Subiaco, winner of the 2015 UDIA Award for Medium Density Residential Development, and 32 St Georges Terrace, which transformed the 1960’s office building, almost doubling the available floor area.
Mark graduated in architecture from the Edinburgh College of Art in 1987 and worked in London for 10 years before moving to Australia.
Ricardo Kiperman, Managing Principal at GHD Woodhead in WA, says, “Mark’s skills in design, site analysis, feasibility studies and urban design will boost our holistic service offerings for both commercial and government clients. Our practice stands out for bringing together architecture, design, planning and engineering disciplines to successfully deliver large scale projects and truly shape cities.”
GHD Woodhead is a leading integrated design practice formed in 2014, when the team from Woodhead joined GHD’s substantial international architecture team.
